Interesting question on Quora: Is there any body part in which cancer cannot develop?
My answer: Hair and nails – but only the dead parts (extensions, not the roots such as follicles).
Any part of the body that is made up of living cells requiring extensive homeostatic regulation will be susceptible to cancer, which means any living part of the body.
Dr. Andres Quintero, M.D. added, “teeth” and we had a banter back and forth re: the validity of this:
I thought this was only the enamel part of teeth since there’s been a rare case of cancer involving the pulp (living part of the tooth) – although it’s due to infiltration by metastasis.
Dr. Andres said that in http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/1508890 there has been a publication on the immune defense in dental pulp.
